My Windows 7 Day @ MumbaiITPro
Hello friends, previously i have blog about a Event, Join Windows 7 day – conducted in most of the part of India ( Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, Banglore and few more ) by India’s most popular leading IT User Groups on Saturday, 18th April 2009.
As I am a one of the Team member belonging to MumbaiITPro, I was there around 9 O'clock with Ashwin Kini, the Regional Chairman APAC, Culminis and UG Lead of MumbaiITPro user group. The Event was organised at Mumbai Educational Trust, Bandra (West). We have completed our all task like Registration and other setup and were ready to start the event at 10 O’clock . The Attendees list crossed over more than 150. A morning Breakfast was also arranged there for Audience.
The Event started with a Welcome note by Ashwin Kini. He briefed about MumbaiITPro User Group. He also talk about the Windows 7 keynotes and Windows Optimized Desktop topics like Access to Information from anywhere, DirectAccess, BrachCache, Federated Search, Enhancing Security, Bitlocker, AppLocker and lots more..
The Second Session was about to Experience Windows 7 or Live Demo of Windows 7, delivered by Hardik Shah. He also talks about the major GUI development and changes since Windows 3.1 to Windows 7. Hardik has told about most of the new things about Windows 7. After that a series of Question Answer section begins, lots of prices were there including Windows Vista Resource Kit book, Microsoft T-shirts, Culminis T-shirt, lots of DVDs and many more.
Now it was the time for third session that delivered by Manan, community member of Windows Vista Help Forum. He is the Enthusiastic guy and also he is writing about the Microsoft Technology on his blog BeingManan.com. He also manage EverythingMS - an aggregator for all things Microsoft.
The third session was about some silent features of Windows 7 that we rarely use or don’t know about it. From the third session i like Problem Steps Recorder topic delivered by Manan, as i was unknown about it.
Now it was around 1 .15 Pm , time for lunch.
After the sweet lunch, the Windows 7 day session moves to next step with me. The next session was about Internet Explorer 8 – the default browser in Windows 7 and Windows server 2008 R2. This session was most memorable session as I was going to conduct my life’s first seminar in front of more than 100 Audiences.
It was the first time that i have hold the Mic in my hand with millions of tensions glowing on face. My nervousness crossed the limit, but Ashwin and Manan makes me to feel relax, they guided me how to handle the audience.
However the session started, and I continue with my presentation. I don’t know what I was speaking, the thing i was knowing is that its all about Internet Explorer 8. I have gone through all the features of Internet Explorer 8 including Accelerators, Web slices, InPrivate browsing, Smart Filter and so on. I have also included the Internet Explorer 8 Videos for better understanding. On that day i realized that speaking in front of Audiences is more difficult then Writing on blog. As it was my first time, people appreciated me for the step that I have taken.
I am knowing that it was worst presentation but it makes me to feel proud as i have face the audience. Now I am preparing to face the Audience once again.
After that, Windows 7 installation begins on the Laptops. In between Ashwin guided for making Windows 7 bootable USB.
With the Installation, the event ends. And overall the event was well-attended and received positive response. It was an great experience and also I got Windows Vista Resource Kit Book worth Rs. 895 from MumbaiITPro.
